The Group
Northeast Sportbikes is a little bit of everything. The group functions with aspects of an online forum and a club without being either entirely. The site accepts donations but there are no required membership fees. We host events but attendance is optional. We have this site but some members rarely sign on yet often come to events while others spend a good portion of time online but are able to decide not to attend many events. We have no initation of any sort for new members but in many cases people find that "NES" is not for them. Northeast Sportbikes tries to take the best aspects of an online forum and a local club and combine them together.
The Site
The site provides Northeast Sportbike members a place to plan events and rides, find out about non-NES events and rides, find out motorcycle and non-motorcycle related information and to simply pass the time. We host many photos and videos from events and rides and sell site merchandise in our online store. The site also provides supporting members (those who donate) their own personal galleries, e-mail addresses, and an arcade.
The Members
Northeast Sportbike members are mainly sportbike riders in Pennylsvania (Mainly Philadelphia and Allentown areas), Delaware, and New Jersey. Members range in age from late teens to upper 60s but most members are in the 20s to 30s age range. The members are mostly male but we do have several female riders.
Special Note
Many of Northeast Sportbikes members are close knit. It may take awhile before you "fit in." Also, we can be very sarcastic. If you're uptight or easily offended this might not be the place for you. It is all in good fun. Also, if you're not local and never come to the area then there is really little to no point in you being here. Also, if you don't own, never have owned or aren't SERIOUSLY thinking about purchasing a motorcycle then "NES" is most likely not the place for you. We enjoy having more members but this is not an AOL chat room.
